Slow Burn Theatre Company is committed to making live theater accessible, inclusive, and enriching for audiences of all ages and abilities. Through our partnership with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts—and through programs we lead ourselves—we are proud to share the transformative power of live performance with our community.
ElderArts
Slow Burn Theatre’s own ElderArts program brings the joy of live performance directly to older adults in our community. By welcoming seniors to our productions and creating opportunities for connection, enrichment, and joy, ElderArts helps ensure that theater remains a vibrant and meaningful part of life at every age.
SEAS (Student Enrichment in the Arts Series)
In partnership with the Broward Center, Slow Burn participates in the SEAS program, which brings thousands of Broward County students into the theater each year. For many, these performances mark their first exposure to professional theater—sparking imagination, inspiring dialogue, and planting the seeds of a lifelong connection to the arts.
Sensory-Inclusive Performances
Also in partnership with the Broward Center, Slow Burn presents sensory-inclusive performances designed especially for individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, and other special needs. With adjusted lighting and sound, a supportive environment, and trained staff and volunteers, these performances ensure that everyone can enjoy the magic of live theater in comfort and without barriers.
Together, these efforts reflect our belief that theater is for everyone—and that its impact is strongest when every member of our community has a seat in the audience.
