The Prom

Mar. 23 - Apr. 7, 2024

Book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin

Music by Matthew Sklar

Lyrics by Chad Beguelin

Directed by Patrick Firzwater

A high school girl is banned from bringing her girlfriend to the prom in her conservative town.

When a group of down-on-their-luck Broadway performers hears her story, they descend on the town to support her, causing chaos and self-discovery for everyone involved. With humor, heart, and show-stopping numbers, the musical explores acceptance, love, and the courage to be oneself.

It’s so joyful and there’s so much redemption and hope in the show. “The Prom” is about “realizing that we’re all in this together no matter who you are. Emma and Alyssa just (want) to go to the prom together like any other normal kid.”
